I was so excited to start the 2024 senior season with Peyton's session at Slate Hill Flower Farm, a lavender farm located in Sharon Springs, NY. We had a little rain shower early that morning, but decided to go ahead with her session. Thank goodness we did, because the cloudy, overcast skies provided us with beautiful, rich colors. Cloudy skies like this are actually one of my favorite types of weather to photograph in!
A lot of seniors wait for Fall sessions, but Summer sessions are just as fantastic and offer a couple other benefits!
- Schedules are less busy and more flexible in the summer. Once school begins, you'll be busy with sports, clubs, and homework!
- The days are longer, so your session can be later in the evening. And really, there's nothing like a warm summer evening, am I right?
- You start your senior year with a big, fun event! It's a great kickoff to the year!
- You have your photos back early. You won't be stressed about yearbook deadlines, weather, or squeezing the session in around other activities.
Peyton was so great to work with! She loved modeling for her session and was truly a natural. I just love the joyful images we captured! Have an amazing senior year, Peyton!
